Welcome to the KEGS website! I am privileged to be Headmaster of a really vibrant, exciting and caring community which is committed to the highest expectations and standards in all areas of life; which in spite of our standing at the top of national examination league tables is genuinely focussed on educating the whole person, and which values education outside the classroom as strongly as rigour and involvement in learning within it; and which is at the cutting edge of leading learning and developing new approaches to learning for life in a rapidly changing world. We are all immensely proud of our school; I hope this site reflects the range and richness of what we offer and something of the passion and engagement of our students.
KEGS is one of England’s leading state schools. It is a unique community, a blend of the traditional and the forward-looking. Founded in 1551, it has grown to be an international centre of learning. It offers a dynamic involvement in the process of education, a rich and exciting range of extra-curricular opportunities, and an emphasis on self-discipline, caring for others, and teamwork. We are proud of our 450 years of acknowledged excellence and service to others.
